The seventh Quarterly Report for the Taskforce has been released canvassing key activities in the three months to the end of June 2016 - a period during which the Taskforce marked the second anniversary of its formation on 25 June 2014.

Demolition update

Demolition and sales progress

The demolition of the 300th house under the Taskforce's demolition program was completed on 23 August 2016. As the 243rd house demolished this year, it marked the substantial progress toward achieving the revised yearly target of 350 demolitions.

In August 2016, a further 17 remediated blocks were offered for sale at public auctions.

Keeping the Weston community informed

On Saturday 20 August 2016, representatives from the Taskforce attended the Weston Creek Community Centre to talk with the community about activity across the suburbs of Holder, Stirling, Waramanga and Weston.

Thanks to Woden Community Service

On Friday 19 August 2016 the Taskforce held a morning tea to recognise and thank the staff and volunteers at Woden Community Service (WCS) for their support of the work of the Taskforce in the Woden community and region.

Put your best foot forward

The Fluffy Walkers' Group meets every second Sunday, providing an opportunity for Mr Fluffy homeowners, tenants and other people affected to get together for a walk, chat and a coffee.
